1. Washing Your Suit: Handle with Care!

• Spot Clean Often: For small smudges or spills, grab a damp cloth or gentle fabric cleaner. Dab, don’t scrub!
• Hand Wash Heads and Parts: Most fursuit heads and foam parts shouldn’t be machine-washed. Use cool water and mild detergent. Gently sponge the fur, avoiding soaking the foam inside.
• Machine Washable? If your suit’s fur and lining are machine-safe, use a gentle cycle with cold water inside a large laundry bag or pillowcase. Always air dry afterward — no dryers!
• Avoid Heat: Hot water or dryers can melt glue, warp foam, and ruin fabric.

2. Drying: No Fry Zone

• Air Dry Only: Hang your suit in a well-ventilated area, out of direct sunlight.
• Fluff While Drying: Once mostly dry, gently brush the fur with a slicker brush or pet comb to keep it fluffy and smooth.

• Keep it Fresh: Use fabric fresheners safe for synthetic fur or sprinkle baking soda inside the suit to absorb smells. Shake it out before wearing!

• Use Moisture-Wicking Undersuits: Wearing an undersuit helps reduce sweat buildup in your suit.

4. Storage: Nap Time for Your Floof

• Hang It Up: Use a wide, padded hanger to keep your suit’s shape, especially for heads, tails, and paws.
• Avoid Squishing: Store your suit somewhere spacious, cool, and dry.
• Cover It: Keep dust and bugs away with a breathable garment bag (no plastic).
